Admission procedure to take admission in Indian Engineering Colleges - 

NTA declares JEE 's main score and asks the top 2,24,000 students to apply for JEE Advanced.

As soon as JEE's main results are released, all colleges that recognize JEE's main rank must open their counselling portal for admission to B.Tech.

Students register for counselling at various Universities / Institutes by paying a counselling fee.

Students give preferences to the Branch and the Institute in which they wish to take admission.

As soon as the results of the consultation are out and the students who have been allocated the seats are asked to pay the admission fee by visiting the institute they have been allocated.

Typically there are 3-4 therapy rounds and a place round in which therapy is based on the physical appearance of the students at the institution in which they wish to be admitted.

Place round can also be an online round in which the University / Institute requires applicants to pay the fee in advance and if they do not have a seat, then 100 per cent of the fee will be refunded (not the therapy fee but the admission fee) and if you have a seat, you will not be able to remove yourself.(You should read the directions carefully before applying for counselling.
