We are in the USA now and wanna put my son in engineering in India. He was willing to take Bio-Medical Engineering or Bio-Tech Engineering.
 
1. What kind of entrance exams are considered for students studying abroad?
 
2. how differ the fees structure compare to normal students
 
3. What will be the process for the management quota?

  • Those Candidates who are living in the United State and looking to pursue a Biomedical or Biotech Engineering Course in Indian Colleges. They need to know about the qualification requirements for admission to biomedical or biotech engineering. 

     

    Academic Eligibility:-

    A candidate must be passed 10+2 from outside India. He must have Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 11th and 12th grade. 

     

    What kind of entrance exams are considered for students studying abroad?

    So, there is basically 2 most Important exam for admission in prestigious Biomedical or Biotech engineering college. 

    1. The 1st option is National Level Entrance Examination JEE Main through which you can get admission in NIT, IIIT, and many colleges in India. You can also apply for JEE Advanced, once you cleared JEE Main for IIT.

    2. The second option is State Engineering Colleges, there are many state engineering entrance examinations conducting separately by the state government. Some of the major engineering state engineering entrance examinations are:-

    MHT CET for Maharashtra,

    KEAM for Kerala,

    KCET for Karnataka,

    EAMCET for Andhra Pradesh & Telangana,

    TNEA for Tamil Nadu,

    GUJCET for Gujarat,

    CUSAT for Cochin

    WBJEE for West Bengal

    So students can choose these entrance examinations if they are looking for admission to some specific state engineering college.  

     

    How differ the fees structure compare to normal students?

    Fees are totally different for all the candidates like Indian, CIWG, DASA, NRI students. Generally Fees of NRI Students are higher than the Indian students. 

     

    What will be the process for the management quota?

    There is no such process for the management quota. Basically, The colleges which give admission on management quota are charge 3-4 times more fees than the normal ones.

     

    How about scholarships for abroad students?

    The NRI students can appear for the Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC). Which provides you a financial support for candidates.
