Hello Sir,

If you could clarify my doubts it will be a great help to me and my family.

My son will complete his 10th board exam this March 2020.

My doubt is shall I ask him to complete his 12th in UAE,  and get admission in engineering college

1. IIT

2.NIT

3.ANY PRIVATE COLLEGE in Coimbatore.

Will I able to get admission through DASA or CIWG. How much will be the fee structure per year? Do I require to pay any donation even if he scores high Marks?

Kindly suggest to me.

Yes, You should ask him to complete 12th in UAE, As per DASA eligibility criteria an applicant must have qualified 11th and 12th grade from a school abroad to fall under DASA category.

12th is mandatory for IITs, NITs & other private engineering colleges. As per your question after completing the 12th, your son will be eligible under DASA Quota.

IITs- Your son will be treated as a normal Indian student in IIT. DASA is not applicable to IITs.

NITs & CFTIs- DASA is applicable in NITs and other CFTIs colleges.

Private Colleges- DASA is not applicable to private engineering colleges in Coimbatore. Private colleges have the NRIs Quota system. They accept NRI students under the NRI quota.

You can see below the fee structure of

You don’t need to require to pay any donation amount if you are looking for NIT/IIT.

IITs / NITs are government colleges no donations will be accepted, any govt college in India will not accept donations. Merit is the only criteria (within each category) to get admitted to IITs / NITs. All other factors are not considered.
