Difference Between NRI Quota & NRI Sponsored

In NRIQuota the person means the student or person is of Indian origin and is not residing in India. NRI Sponsored Quota is mainly used during admission in colleges and all. This means that the student or person is sponsored by an NRI for his studies.

The NRI Quota is specially reserved in Indian government colleges for those candidates who are PIO or OCI children. But, NRI Sponsored Quota category seats are offered to those candidates who have their permanent residence in India simply because an NRI relative is paying their fee, which is considerably higher than the fee paid by candidates entering the same college through the common merit list.
