Foreign students can take admission in IITs through JEE Advanced Online Test. JEE Advanced Examination is conducted in 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for admission to different undergraduate programs.

Seats allotted to foreign nationals are extra seats, with a cap of 10% of total number of seats in every course. In a few cases foreign national candidates are not required to register JEE MAIN and can register for JEE Advanced directly subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

Admission Process in IITs for NRI:

JEE Mains - Irrespective of the orientation (NRI or Indian), all students need to first appear for JEE Mains Entrance Examination.

JEE Advanced - Students who qualify JEE Mains are them required to appear for the JEE Advanced test.

Result Declaration - Based on the total JEE Advanced score and AIR (All India Rank), qualified students are asked to appear for counseling.

College Allocation - Students will be offered UG Streams and IIT Colleges based on their AIR and JEE Advanced score. Typically most popular streams in prestigious IITs get filled in the top 1000 ranks.

Note: To get into IITs there is no alternative for NRIs, JEE Examination is mandatory. No quota is involved or entertained.

Students will be provided the information about JEE Advanced 2020 cutoff as soon as it will be released by IIT Delhi.
