Type  of award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For undergraduate study at accredited postsecondary institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be Mexican American, Hispanic American or Puerto Rican. Applicant must  be U.S. citizen  or
permanent resident residing in New York, Puerto Rico or New Jersey.
Basis  for selection:  Applicant  must  demonstrate financial need.
Application requirements: Transcript, proof of eligibility. Proof  of low income.
Additional information: Minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must have high school diploma or GED and be out of high  school for more than a year prior to submitt ing and never attended a postsecondary institution. Awardees must complete  100 hours of non-faith-based community service by June 1 of  the first year in program. Must meet  low-income federal guidelines.
