Signet Classic Student Scholarship Essay Contest
Type of' award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For undergraduate study at postsecondary institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be high school juni or or senior. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Basis for selection: Competition/talent/interest in writing/ journali sm, based on style, content, grammar, and originality; judges look for clear, concise writing that is articulate, logically organized, and well-supported . Major/career interest in English or literature.
Application requirements: Proof of eligibility, nomination by high school English teacher. Entrant must read designated book and answer one of several book-related questions in two- to three-page essay. Cover letter on school letterhead from
teacher. Only one junior and one senior essay may be submitted per teacher. Parent or legal guardian must submit essay for home-schooled students.
Additional information: Home-schooled entrants must be between ages of 16 and 18. Immediate relatives of employees of Pengui n Group (TJSA) Tnc. and its affiliates ineligible.
