Young & Free Michigan Scholarship
Type of award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate or graduate study at 2-year, 4-year or graduate institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be at least 17, 110 older than 25, high school senior. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Michigan.
Basis for selection:Scholarship winners will be determined by a combination of public vote and judg ing committee. The Top Ten scholarship candidates in each category will be determined by public vote on the YoungFreeMichigan.com Scholarship Competition page. The Top Ten finalists' submissions, in each category, will move forward for review by the Judging Committee to determine the three scholarship winners in each
category. The final judgin g for the scholarships will be based upon the merit of the submissions.
Application requirements: Video (sixty seconds or less) or essay (300 to 500 words) answering the question: What invention do you think the world would be better off without and why? Creative thinking encouraged. If submitting a video, set it to public view.
Additional information: Minimum GPA of 2.8. Must be a member of Michigan First Credit Union in good standing. Study full-time(minimum 12 credit hours) in a college or university for the Fal l. See website for full rules and details.
