Louisiana Veterans Affairs Survivors and Dependents Education Program
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable .
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate, graduate or non­ degree study at vocational, 2-year, 4-year or graduate institution. Designated institutions: Lou isiana public institutions.
Eligibility: Appl icant must be residing in Louisiana. Applicant must be  dependent of disabled  veteran  or deceased veteran.
Deceased veteran  must  have died of  wartime  injuries. Application  requirements:Proof  of eligibility. Certification  of eligibility.
Additional information: Award is a tuition waiver at all Louisiana state-supported schools. Liv i ng veteran must be
Louisiana resident for at least two years prior to child entering program. Deceased veteran must have been Louisiana resident for at least twelve months immediately preceding entry into service. Disability must he llt lellst 90 percent 11s rnted by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to qualify. Applicant also eligible if disability rating is 60 percent or more but employability  rating is  100 percent unemployable. Waiver
available for five year period before applicant turns 25. Award amounts vary.
