Captain James J. Regan Memorial Scholarship
Type  of  award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at accredited postsecondary institution.
Eligibility:Applicant  or parent must be member/participant  of Learning  for Life. Applicant must be U.S. citizen  or perm anent resident.
Basis for selection: Major/career interest in criminal ju stice/ law enforcement. Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement,  leadership and seriousness of  purpose.
Application  requirements:  Essay,  transcript, proof of eligibility. Certification from post advisor, head of participating organization, Learning for Life representative. Three letters of recommendation  (two from outside of law  enforcement).
Additional essay (minimum of 250 words) on "How Will Technology Affect Law Enforcement in the 21st Century?" Black-and-white photo (preferably in uniform). Must submit original and  four copies of  all materials.
