Kosciuszko Foundation Year Abroad Program
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: For sophomore, junior, senior or graduate study at 4-year or graduate institution in Poland. Designated institutions: Jagiellonian University, Institute of Polish Diaspora and Ethnic Studies (formerly the Polonia Institute, Krakow).
Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen.
Basis for selection: Competition/talent/in terest in study abroad. Major/career interest in Polish language/studies. Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement.
Application requirements: $50 application fee. Recommendations, essay, transcript. Certificate of proficiency in Polish, two passport-sized photos with full name on reverse
side of each. Graduates must submit copies of degree diplomas , Polish Ministry of Education application completed in English. Additional information: Must have interest in Polish subjects and/or involvement in Polish-American community.
Scholarship covers tuition and stipend for housing and living expenses for one academic year or semester. Airfare not included. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Visit Website for more information and application. Applications available from October lto December 30.
