Type of award: Scholarship.
Intended  use:For full-time undergraduate or graduate  study  at accredited 2-year,  4-year or graduate institution.
Eligibility: Applicant or parent must be member/participant of American Indian Science & Engineeri ng Society. Applicant must be Alaskan native, American Indian or Native Hawaiian/ Pacific Islander.
Basis for selection: Major/career interest in computer/ information sciences; engineering, computer; engineering,
electrical/electronic; engineering, chemical or material s science. Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement.
Application  requirements :Recommendations, essay, transcript, proof of  eligibility . Certificate of Indian Blood  or proof  of tribal enrollment document.  Resume.
Additional infom1ation: Minimum 3.0 GPA. Must be a member of an American  Indian  tribe or be considered
American Indian by the tribe which affiliation is claimed or have at least  1/4 American  Indian blood; or  be at least  1/4
Alaskan Native or considered to be an Alaskan Native by an Alaskan Native group to which affiliation is claimed. Must be a member of AISES. To obtain an AISES membership, visit Website. Deadline is in  mid-May. Award  is $5,000 for
undergraduates; $ I0,000 for graduates.
