Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
Type of  award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at accredited postsecondary  institution in United  States.
Eligibility: Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant must be  U.S. citizen.
Basis for selection: Applicant must demonstrate financial need, high academic achievement and leadership.
Application requirements: Essay, transcript. Counselor report, SAT/ACT  scores,  income range.
Additional  information: Applications available starting September  lon Website. Application  deadline  is in  December. Award is distributed  over four years. Membership in Elks  not required, but application  must be endorsed  by  and submitted to local Elks Lodge for entry into competition. Judging  occurs at lodge, district, and state level before reaching national competition.
