ET Foundation International Aluminum Extrusion Student Design Competition
Type of award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For undergraduate or graduate study at vocational, 2-year, 4-year or graduate institution in or outside United States or Canada.
Eligibility: Applicant must be at least 16, no older than 30. Applicant must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident or international student.
Basis for selection: Major/career interest in architecture; design; engineering, industrial; engineering, materials or engineering.
Application requirements: To enter, you must submit a design that: includes at least one aluminum extruded component designed by the student; demonstrates the manufacturing, design, and material advantages of extruded aluminum; and addresses the competition judging criteria found
on the web site.
Additional information: Application can be found online. Special consideration will be given to entries that also submit a printed 3D model of their extrusion design with their other milterials. Student design and supporting materiflls Ciln be submitted by e-mail or by post. First place: $3,000, Second Place: $2,000, Third Place: $1,000. A Separate $2,500 scholarship for the Bonnell Aluminum LED Lighting Design Award may be presented to the entry that best uses aluminum extrusions, addressing some of the material's excellent advantages for this application - Students must indicate on the entry form that they are entering their design in consideration for this award.
