Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident  residing in Hawaii.
Basis for selection: Major/career interest in journ alism or communications. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, high academic achievement and depth  of  character.
Application requirements: Essay, transcript. FAFSA and SAR, SAT/ACT scores.
Additional information: Minimum 2.7 GPA. Must have permanent address in Hawaii. Applicants who take  up mainland residency musl have.-: n:lalives living in Hawaii. Amount  and  number of awards vary  and  may change yearly.
