Intended use: For undergraduate study at postsecondary institution.
Eligibility: Applicant or parent must be member/participant of American Legion Auxiliary. Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant  must be U.S. citizen residing  in  Virginia.
Applicant must be descendant of veteran; or dependent of veteran.
Basis for selection: Applicant must demonstrate financial need, high academic achievement and depth of character. Application requirements: Recommendations, essay, transcript, proof of eligibility. SAT/ACT scores, FAFSA, verification  of 50 hours of voluntary  service.
Additional information: One $1,500, $2,000, and $2,500 scholarship awarded. Previous scholarship recipients not eligible.
