Choctaw Nation Higher Education Program
Type  of  award:  Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: For undergraduate or graduate study at accredited 2-year, 4-year or graduate institution in United States.
Eligibility:  Applicant  must be  American Indian. Must be
enrolled member of Choctaw Tribe and have Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) and tribal membership  card. Basis for selection: Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement.
Application  requirements:  Transcript. Proof  of  Choctaw
descent. FAFSA. School enrollment verification via submission of class schedule.
Additional information:Program made up of two awards: a
grant or a scholarship. Grant is based on financial  need; minimum 2.0 GPA required. The scholarship is for applicants with minimum 2.5 GPA. Grant will  assist with any unmet need up to award amount. Must reapply for renewal. Number  of awards  varies. May  only  receive either  grant or scholarship.
Amount  of  award: $1,000-$2,000
