Eligibility: Applicant must be Alaskan native, Asian American, African American, Mexican American,  Hispanic American, Puerto Rican, American Indian or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander. Applicant  must  be residing  in California.

Additional  information:Must be active California Teachers Association  (CTA) member,  active Student  CTA  member, or dependent  child  of  an  active, retired, or deceased  CTA member.  Amou nt  of  award and  number of  awards varies.  To receive funds, must show proof  of  registration in approved credential  or degree program.  Must  pursue  teaching-related career in public  education.
