Type of award: Scholarship.
Intended  use:  For undergraduate  study  at 4-year institution. Eligibility: Applicant or parent must be member/participant of American Legion. Applicant must be high school  senior.
Applicant  must be residing  in New Jersey.
Basis for selection: Applicant must demonstrate financial need, high academic achievement, depth of character, leadership and seriousness of  purpose.
Application requirements: Recommendations, essay, transcript, proof of  eligibility.
Additional information: Two $4,000 awards; four $2,000 awards; and two $1,000 awards. Applicant must be natural or adopted child of American Legion, Department of New Jersey member, or of a deceased member  if parent was member at time of death. Contact local Post for  application.
