Intended use:For full-time undergraduate or graduate study at accredited 2-year or 4-year institution in United States.
Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen residing in Hawaii. Basis for selection:Major/career interest in health-related profession s; education or social work. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, high academic achievement, depth of character and service orientation.
Application requirements: Recommendations, essay, transcript. SAR, FAFSA, SAT/ACT scores, personal statement should include record of community service and how future career will benefit Hawaii residents and state intentions to stay or return to Hawaii after graduation.
Additional information: Minimum 2.7 GPA. Must be resident of South or North Kona. Preference given to students demonstrating emphasis in advancing native Hawaiian culture.
