In Tokyo many NRI parents are now shifting their wards to IB curriculum for the better future. I have seen this trend but the irony is many parents do not even know what they need by putting their child in IB school. How is it going to help and how it is different from CBSE curriculum.
Inspite of the fact above there are not good IB teachers available in Tokyo and those who are actually there are way to expensive. We all know we send our children's to local schools teachers for their IB preparation, but what is the outcome. I have faced this personally 2-3 years back.
In terms of competitions NRI students are weaker and protected, may be because of the culture here in Japan or other factor.
But, when our kids go out in competition with other Indian students in India to go to abroad for any competitive exams they lack behind because of improper training.
