How Do I Correct A Mistake On My Name In Passport? Is This Cause Any Issue In JEE Admission Through DASA?

My son is appearing for the JEE exam in 2022 and he is an OCI/USA passport holder.
In his passport - His middle name (Father's name) is mentioned as Ramesh; whereas in CBSE board/JEE exam, it's mentioned as Ramesh Kumar. Let me know if this would create any issues and what documents should I keep to resolve it?
