Pearson  Prize  for Higher Education
Type  of  award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For sophomore or junior study at accredited 2- year or 4-year institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Basis for selection: Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement,  leadership and service orientation.
Application  requirements:  Recommendations.
Additional information: Minimum 2.5 GPA. Must have demonstrated leadership in community service. If applicant is graduating from a 2-year college, they must be transferring to 4-year program to be eligible. Must have at least 30 credits accumulated. Cannot have won Pearson  Prize in the  past.
Cannot be related to someone from Pearson or Pearson Foundation. Apply online. Deadline in April. Semi-finalists notified  in June. Winners notified in late July.
