Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident  residing  in Louisiana.
Basis for selection: Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement.
Application  requirements:  FAFSA. SAT or ACT scores. Additional  information:Open to Louisiana residents who will be  first-time,  full-time freshmen at Louisiana public  or LAICU private postsecondary  institutions  no later th&n fall following first anniversary  of  high  school  graduation . Must have no
criminal convictions. Must have completed 19 units college­ prep TOPS core curriculum. Individual requirements for awards below; please send one inquiry, only, for all award levels: TOPS OPPORTUNITY  AWARD: Equal to tuition  at public institution (or weighted average tuition  at  LAICU
member institution). Must have minimum 2.5 core GPA, minimum ACT score based on state's prior year average (never below 20) or minimum  SAT of  940. TOPS PERFORMANCE AWARDS:  Equal  to tuition at public institution  (or weighted
average tuition at LAICU member institution) plus $400/yr stipend. Minimum 3.0 core GPA, minimum ACT  score of  23 or SAT score of 1050. TOPS HONORS AWARDS: Equal to tuition  at public institution  (or weighted  average tuition at
LAICU member institution) plus $800/yr stipend. Minimum 3.0 core GPA, ACT  score of  27  or SAT score of  1210.
