Basis for selection: Major/career interest in engineering, civil. Application  requirements:  Recommendations,  essay, transcript, research proposa l. One to two-page  resume. Detailed
financial statement indicating how fellowship will finance applicant's research . Statement from institution where research will  be conducted.
Additional information: Applicant must be American Society
of Civil Engineers member in good standing. Grants are made toward expenses for experiments, observations, and
compilations to discover new and accurate data that will be useful in engineering. Grant may be in form of prize for most useful paper relating to science/art of hydraulic construction.
