Basis for selection: Major/career interest in atmospheric
sciences/meteorology; oceanography/marine studies or hydrology.
Application requirements: Essay, transcript, proof of eligibility. Original paper plus four photocopies. Letter of application including contact information and stating paper's title and name of university where paper was written. Letter from university faculty stating author was undergraduate when paper was written and indicating elements of paper that are original contributions by the student. Abstract of maximum 250 words describing paper.
Additional information:Award intended to stimulate interest in meteorology among college students through submission of original papers concerned with some phase of atmospheric sciences. Student must have been undergraduate when paper was written. Submissions from women, minorities and disabled
