Type of award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at accredited 2-year or 4-year institution in United States. Designated institutions: Institutions in Arizona or New Mexico.
Eligibility: Applicant must be Alaskan native or American Indian. Applicant must be U.S. citizen.
Basis for selection: Major/career interest in mathematics; science, general; engineering or technology. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, high academic achievement and service orientation.
Application requirements: Essay, transcript, proof of eligibility . Photo, proof of tribal enrollment, financial needs analysis (FNA) form.
Additional information: Minimum 2.8 GPA. Not for use at tribal college. Must be a Navajo Nation tribal member with membership in the Nenahnezad, San Juan, Burnham , Hogback or Upper Fruitland chapters. Must have an interest in interning or working for Arizona Public Service and be willing to attend the AIHEC Student Congress Summer Leadership Training (all expenses paid).
