IB is an internationally recognized program and MYP (Middle Year Program) and DP (Diploma Program) are part of it. Both the programs are for different age group of children as MYP is for children in between the age group of 11 to 16 years whereas DP is for children between the age group of 16-19 years.

MYP is a 5-year program whereas DP is a 2-year program. MYP prepares students for DP and can join DP after finishing MYP. MYP imparts the skills, knowledge and attitude among students that is required by IB DP students to be successful. MYP’s focus on learning approach provides a base for DP students for rigorous study. Hence both the programs have different level of scope and can’t be compared on the level of difficulty.
