The aim is to score high in IB mathematics. For that modelling is an ideal step beside having the sound theoretical background. Continuous problem solving is the only method to achieve this high score.
Few modelling questions and ideal are as follows.
• Whether hitting the 'magic square' on a basketball backboard assure a score?
• How might I use double-slit interference to diminish the audible noise in my room due to the neighbour's wood saw demographic analysis?
• Modelling the sound wave of favourite parody being played on the piano using only function transformations?

Fourier series is a fantastic topic to score better in IB exam. Kindly bear in mind that the Math HL IA struggle is real. As an IB student, you are not expected to fathom much of the intricacies of higher level Maths.
To get at least 7 out of 10 is the motive in the IB Maths exam. For that the following may help
• The thyroidal universe, the different shapes of it.
• Polynomial regression and arc length.
• Arc length of a function (polynomial function)
• Monty Hall problem
• How to do demographic modelling
• Basic econometrics
• Differentiation, integration
• Few exploration topics on statistics for IB math HL?
• The applied trigonometry in astronomy
• Uses of spherical trigonometry
• Applied mathematics
