Boy and Girl Scouts Scholarship
Type of award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time freshman study at accredited 4- year institution in United  States.
Eligibility:  Applicant must  be high school senior. Applicant must  be Eastern  01ihodox. Applicant  must be U.S.  citizen. Basis for selection: Applicant  must demonstrate depth of character  and  service orientation.
Application requirements:  Four  letters of  recommendation with application, one from each of following groups: religious institution, school, community leader, and head of Scouting unit.
Additional information: Eligible applicant must be registered member of  Boy  or Girl Scouts unit;  Eagle Scout or Gold Award recipient; active member of Eastern Orthodox Church; have received Alpha Omega Religious Scout Award; have demonstrated practical citizenship in his or her church, school, Scouting unit, and community. Offers one $1,000  scholarship and  one $500 scholarship upon  acceptance to four-year
accredited  college or university.
