Generation Hope Scholar Program
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: For undergraduate study at 2-year or 4-year institution  in United States.
Eligibility: Applicant must be no older than 25. Applicant must be U.S.  citizen or permanent  resident.
Application requirements : Interview, recommendations, transcript. Must be a resident of the DC Metro area (DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia). Must  be a teen parent (defined as having a child by the age of 19) and be age 25 or younger at the time of application submission. Submit a copy of SAR or FAFSA, two letters of recommendation,  and a current  transcript  with submission.
Additional information:  Minimum  2.5  GPA.  Must  be  raising or actively involved in child's life (defined by  regular support and care of  your  child).  Must be  attending  or  planning to attend college in the Washington DC Metro area. Must plan to take a minimum of  6 credits each  semester.  Residency  is open to US Citizens, permanent legal residents, and individuals with Deferred  Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)  immigration.
