Quota which is allotted by the Institutes of India for the Non-Resident Indians is known as NRI quota. In few particular schemes (of such Quota), the Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), & Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) can also apply.
The quota for NRIs is generally 15% of the management quota in accordance with the rules stipulated by DTE; however, the quota is applicable to change. It should be noted that not all colleges with a management quota dedicate 15% of their seats to NRI students
