Maximum Number Of Years To Spend In India For Admissions Under Normal Quota

For normal quota, what's the minimum numbers of years of education required in India? I was told it requires one to go through schooling in India from 9th to 12th grade. My situation is my kids are in Singapore for the last 5 years. I cannot pay hefty fee under NRI quota. Instead, I prefer making them join schooling in 9th grade in India so they are treated under normal quota for college fees and admissions.

As far as you need to get admission in Indian Engineering / Medical colleges and you do not wish to go for NRI Quota. In such case you need to make your child study in India from class 7th. Only then you will be considered for General Quota.
