I would like to know whether an NRI candidate could appear for MHT CET Exam & participate in CAP round.

Yes, NRI candidates can appear for the MHT CET examination. And CAP round is just a process to be conducted online where candidates lock the colleges as per their preferences. So NRI candidates are also applicable for the CAP round they need to fill the online application form. Those who don't get their preferred college can lock their seat in the next round.
