  • Any board can be best depending upon the student’s area of interest. Every board has its merits and demerits. Let’s say, Ibis an internationally recognized program that prepared students for college levels and helps in overall development of the students through writing, research work, experiments and community service. It emphasises a lot on writing and critical thinking and helps you to find a solution and how it can be applied to solve real life problems.

Moreover, IB diploma students are given credits in international universities and colleges which helps them to take admission in foreign institutes. CBSE is a text based educational system which prepares students more for Indian entrance exams as most of the exams are based out of CBSE curriculum and is much easier as compared to IB.

The syllabus for ICSE is more comprehensive and focuses on the detailed study of the subject. ICSE certificates are recognized by most of the universities all around the world. So, it completely depends on your future academic plans to choose from CBSE, ICSE or IB.

  • As soon as the child attains the age of going to school, parents start struggling to choose the best education board among CBSE, ICSE and IB. Nowadays, IB is slowly gaining popularity among Indian parents. IB is a board that helps students to get admission in foreign institutes by earning credits as it is accepted in most of the universities.

CBSE on other hand is a curriculum in India that is taught by most of the colleges whereas ICSE is the next popular curriculum and IB is the least popular. CBSE is suitable for all those students who wants to pursue their academic career in India’s top universities and colleges whereas IB and ICSE prepare the students at global level. Since, CBSE is the most widespread board hence students don’t have to suffer on academic front in case of changing schools.

On one hand, IB and ICSE emphasise on holistic approach, on the other hand CBSE emphasises more on accumulation of knowledge. IB emphasises on every subject along with English whereas CBSE emphasises more on Maths and Science. So, whatever program you choose, choose it as per student’s interest and requirement.

  • I think if the students are planning to go abroad for their higher education like US etc. then in this case IB curriculum will be an added advantage for the students. Many universities gives credit to the students who are from IB curriculum.
