Military Order of the Purple Heart Scholarship
Type  of  award:  Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at postsecondary institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen. Applicant must be descendant of veteran or disabled while on active duty; or dependent of disabled veteran or deceased veteran; or  spouse of disabled veteran or deceased veteran. Applicant must either be a recipient of the Purple Heart who is a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH); spouse or descendant of MOPH member, or descendant or spouse of veteran  killed  in action or  who died of  wounds. Great
grandchildren  not eligible to apply.
Basis for selection: Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement.
Application requirements: $15  application  fee. Recommendat ions, essay, transcript, proof of eligibility. Additional  information:  Must  have  minimum unweighted
2.75 GPA. Deadline in mid February. Application package available  on MOPH  Website. Call MOPH for details.
