Type  of  award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate or graduate study at accredited postsecondary institution.
Eligibility:  Applicant  must be  residing in Hawaii.
Basis for selection: Applicant must demonstrate financial need and high academic  achievement.
Application requirements : Recommendations, essay,
transcript. SAR, FAFSA, SAT/ACT scores. Essay describing family descent and connection to Ni'ihau and addressing proficiency in Hawaiian language and listing courses taken in Hawaiian.
Additional information: Minimum 2.7  GPA.  Must  be resident of Kauai or Ni'ihau Island. Preference given to current Ni'ihau residents or Kauai residents who are one or two generations removed from Ni'ihau  Island. Preference given  to students fluent in Hawaiian  language.
