The Joel Abromson Memorial Scholarship
Type  of  award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For freshman study at postsecondary institution. Eligibility: Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Maine. Basis for selection: Competition/talent/interest in gay/lesbian, based on involvement and leadership in promoting equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in schools and community. Applicant must demonstrate depth of character and service orientation.
Application requirements: Recommendations, essay. Cover letter. Acceptance letter from chosen higher education institution.
